Hearing Aid Reimbursement Update under CGHS & State Health Schemes
Latest Government Guidelines (MoHFW O.M. dated 09-09-2026)
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has revised the ceiling rates and reimbursement guidelines for Standard Digital Programmable and Rechargeable Hearing Aids under CS(MA) Rules, 1944 and CGHS.

✅ Ceiling Rate: Up to ₹30,000 per ear (inclusive of GST & taxes).

✅ Bilateral fitting: Up to ₹60,000, subject to actual expenditure.

✅ Mandatory 3-year comprehensive warranty included.

❌ Analogue and body-worn/pocket-type hearing aids remain excluded.

✅ Replacement allowed only after 5 years from the last reimbursement.
Beneficiaries must follow the prescribed process: referral from CGHS/Government ENT Specialist, authenticated audiogram, permission letter, and submission of valid documentation for reimbursement.
